Participation Requirements
To apply, families must agree to the following eligibility criteria:
Location & Time: The teen must live in the Salt Lake City area and be able to attend all weekly classes mid January - mid April of 2026 (once the 8 launch-team teens are selected we’ll finalize a weekly time for our group sessions).
Commitment: Teens must agree to attend each session, participate actively, and complete all assignments. Twelve weeks might sound like a long time, but it will go by quickly. Their commitment is what will help them truly grow. Any class missed must be made up.

Conduct: The teen agrees to be respectful and on time to scheduled lessons.
This course is not a replacement for therapy or clinical mental health treatment.
Why?
Welcome! Here’s the deal: I’m offering this course because I love teaching teens, and I want to help as many as I can. I’ve been excited about launching this group course for a long time, and now I’m looking for motivated teens to help kick it off and lead the way.
Adults have experience, but teens need peers too—and that’s why this course is built around community: learning together, sharing real-life experiences, and practicing proven tools in a supportive group setting.
The process is simple. We’ll have a group lesson each week and go home with easy, practical applications to work on during the week so the skills actually stick. You’ll learn side-by-side with other teens who are just as invested, all with a coach who keeps it real and hopefully entertaining. Over the 12 weeks we’ll explore emotional maturity, self-confidence, self-reflection, healthy friendships and boundaries, reliability, communication, planning, and learning habits to help you feel steady and strong in who you are.
I’ll reach out to you when I’ve received your application, and again once the 8 kids who will be launching the course are selected we will lock down a weekly time for our group lesson. Kids will be selected based on availability and group compatibility. Classes will start mid January and will end in April.
